Associate of Science in Medical Massage (60 credits)
The hands-on technique and theory classes, along with case studies help to develop the students’ critical thinking skills. After an associate degree enrollee has completed Semester 1, they are prepared and eligible to enter any of the other semesters.

Massage Professional Certification (29 credits)
Massage techniques of the 570-hour Massage Therapy Program include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Hydrotherapy, and an introduction to Pregnancy, Infant Massage, Aromatherapy, Intro to Herbs. Other classes include Pathology and Kinesiology, Ethics, Intro to Business Math, Intro to Psycho and Spiritual Care. Attention is given to self-care, body mechanics, wrist and back care, as well as the psychological aspects of medical massage therapy, boundary setting, and communication skills.
This course includes 2 semesters toward the A.S. degree and allows graduates to work in the field of massage therapy in just a few months. They are then permitted to resume and complete the last two scheduled semesters to complete the associate degree.
Student Clinic
The Student Clinic puts the student and graduate a cut above due to the invaluable experience they receive while going through school by treating actual clients from the community. Student clinic offers the student the ability to apply and improve their hands-on skills, critical thinking skills, charting, confidence, and other elements critical to becoming a professional therapist.
Externship
As part of this training, students have the privilege to choose their own externship site to fulfill this requirement (60 hours externship for the A.S. Degree and 30 hours externship for the Professional Massage Certificate). The externship allows the students to experience what it is like to work in a certain settings in the Medical Massage field and in some cases help them create their own positions as a therapist where they most desire to work.
Instructor Course - (Certification)
Provides “survival” skills you need as a new instructor. Assists you in projecting confidence and enthusiasm. Helps you avoid problems and errors often made by new instructors.
This course includes the art of teaching, lesson plan & syllabus development, grading, student record keeping, learning styles, teaching techniques and presentation, use of Audio-visuals, classroom management, and conflict resolution. Students will be required to fulfill 35 hours of theory and 65 hours of supervised in-class training. As a prerequisite, the student must be a practicing massage therapist with a minimum of two (2) years experience.
Hybrid Learning
The hybrid learning system allows the students to do a portion of their courses home study and still be on a regular classroom schedule. Our hybrid program is only used in certain circumstances and certain courses where students are unable to complete the course otherwise. This may include extended leaves due to illness, death in the family, military duty, or other unforeseen circumstances. The hybrid learning is considered a special arrangement under the discretion of the instructor and school director.

Continuing education is an important part of any profession. We offer a variety of workshops to extend education to therapists and others interested in medical massage. Hands-On Medical Massage School offers Nursing CE's (Provider # CEP 13896).

Simply Swedish (6 CE's)

Geometric Release (14 CE's)

Only taught at Hands-on Medical Massage School, this technique takes the therapists to the cell level of the muscle to decode pain and geometrically align the body.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (24 CE's)

- Learn/experience the ancient art of healing and nurturing founded in the islands.

Advanced Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (24 CE's)

Intro to Herbs Mini Workshop (4 CE's)

Lymph Massage (14 CE's)

- Learn and experience gentle, yet effective techniques to decrease swelling/edema.
- Learn the basic structure/function of the lymph system.
- Study the benefits/contraindications of lymph massage.
- Lymph massage is great for detoxification and weight-loss.

Medical Ministry Training Course (21 CE's)

Pain Management Therapy (14 CE's)
